faculty-led programs

Partnering with universities and faculty

Empowering faculty leaders

Collaborating with faculty leaders to design, promote and deliver customized programs is the most rewarding aspect of working in the study abroad and internship field.  The result of combining the talent of our team, our overseas infrastructure and local resources with the vision of you "the faculty leader" and the learning objectives of your course is... an engaged student and lifelong memories.

CAMPUS VISITS TO HELP PROMOTE OUR JOINT PROGRAMS

Once a faculty-led program is approved, we schedule a series of visits to campus and online sessions to help with the promotion.

TEACHING FACILITIES

A wide range of teaching facilities are available to meet the class-size and amenities required by each faculty leader

INCORPORATING SITE VISITS AND
GUEST SPEAKERS

We utilize local resources such as professionals and organizations related to the sector or business function of each faculty-led program.

FAMILY HOUSING (STUDENTS)
APARTMENT HOUSING (FACULTY)

Students tend to live in family housing and share a family with another program participant. Called the buddy system. Faculty often opt for independent apartment housing.

INTERNSHIPS AND TEAM PROJECTS

Internships and team projects related to the course material, program learning objectives and/or career path of each student offers an opportunity to develop marketable skills.

ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS

Activities and excursions that come included with our faculty lead programs help students develop an appreciation for history and culture.

how it works

Creating a faculty-led program proposal to submit for university approval is much easier than most people think. Why? Because we've done it before and we know what universities require.

In order to provide a program proposal, we request a minimum of three pieces of basic information: program dates, the minimum enrollment the program needs to run and a copy of the syllabus. With that information, we create a program proposal

Program Dates

Understanding the program dates (Arrival and Departure) is critical to calculating the cost of the program as well as the availability of local resources, such as housing, cultural activities, etc...

Minimum Enrollment

While our minimum enrollment is usually less than that of our partnering institutions, we ask for a calculation of what minimum enrollment is needed in order to run the program so we can calculate the program fees accordingly.

Copy of your syllabus

The content and learning objectives of the course or courses that will be taught helps us determine which local resources, activities and excursions are most relevant to contributing to the learning objectives of the program.
